Religious Rock

This is going to sound all LiveJournal but it is worth writing. It’s the sort of embarrassing log entry that will acquire 0 comments.

Yesterday I met with James and David in Manchester. The rain forced us into a bar and we spent the afternoon sharing bottles of red wine and idling over conversation. And. I felt happy. As the rain bounced off the pavement outside, I could think of no better place to be than with two people who genuinely care about me. The common understanding. The shared jokes. The knowing glances. At ease.

It is perhaps ironic that the lyrics of the song ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ best sum up how I feel towards James and David tonight. The following picture looks like some kind of promotional poster for a hip and trendy wine bar:

Wine in the afternoon

  1. Oh yes. It’s 07/07/07. You should all savour this date because there aren’t going to be many of these left in our lifetimes.

I’ve contradicted the comment I made about comments in this web log. I am sooooo interesting.

  2. ANDREW: Explain yourself…

  3. Lol, it just amuses me

  4. I am glad it amused you and wasn’t a serious declaration of style. Micah P. Hinson cancelled the gig due to ‘ill health’. You may as well still come though.. we’ll just have to get messed up on the weather or something equally ROCK N LLOR.

  5. OK, I am obviously happy still to come- if I get to your house about half 2 is that OK?

  6. I have a wide selection of lubricants, amyl nitrates and themed uniforms in my room. See you tomorrow.
